CMSPA Programs

Countryside Montessori School's Parent Association offers a variety of programs to interested parties throughout the Great Neck and Manhasset, NY area. As a leading local early childhood school, we strongly encourage parents to get involved in their children's education as early as possible. There are many ways that dedicated parent involvement will benefit your child in the long run:

• Increased Confidence: When students feel supported at home as well as in the classroom, they develop more positive attitudes about school, show improved confidence, and place a higher priority on academic achievement. Children of involved parents are more likely to feel included, accepted, and respected at school and in the world.
• Higher Grades: Kids whose parents are more involved in their education tend to score higher on tests and get better grades. The more parents are involved, the more your children seem to benefit!
• Better Behavior: Kids with involved parents tend to develop better social skills and behavior. They are also less likely to skip school or be disruptive in class as time goes on.
• Improved Educational Experience: Research indicates that parent involvement can help improve the quality of schools, boost teacher morale, and increase a school's reputation within the community. Parent involvement also tends to help students stay in school longer and make them more likely to continue their education after high school.
