Why You Should Send Your Child to Preschool
Preschool is extremely important if you are looking to prepare your child for preschool. When parents send their children to preschool, they help them develop their cognitive skills and social-emotional development.
Social-Emotional Development: Attending preschool will give your child the opportunity to socialize with other children their age, which will teach them how to manage their emotions. Communicating with other children their age teaches skills like sharing and empathy. As your child gets older, they need to learn how their actions affect others.
Cognitive Development: Preschool teachers will work with your child to prepare them for kindergarten by introducing them to reading and writing. Most preschools will read books to their students and introduce writing letters and numbers. Writing letters and numbers in preschool will start developing the skills your child will need to write in kindergarten.
Physical Development: Your child will have a few opportunities while they are at preschool to further develop their gross motor skills. Outside your child will be riding bikes, climbing playground structures, and playing tag, which are just a few opportunities for them to develop their gross motor skills at preschool. There will also be time for your child to develop their fine motor skills. Fine motor skills will be worked on during playtime with activities like painting or coloring and more structured learning like writing letters and numbers.
